Wallet infrastructure, approval and execution
ChainATM does not operate an omnibus customer wallet or hold crypto on its own balance sheet. The default embedded wallet is provided by Privy. After you confirm a supported action, execution may use ChainATM's authenticated backend and Privy's wallet infrastructure, or request approval from a connected external wallet, depending on the route.

ChainATM separates describing an intention from approving a transaction. The app first interprets what you want to do, then presents a proposal, and waits for your decision. A chat message alone does not approve a transaction.

In the reviewed flows, you inspect a proposal and confirm it in the app before execution is requested. The signing and execution path depends on the wallet and route; a confirmation screen is not proof of device-only signing or universal passkey verification.
Buy, swap and send from one mobile wallet
ChainATM prepares purchases, swaps and transfers across supported networks. The same conversational flow is used for each action: describe the outcome, inspect the proposal and approve only when the details are right. Availability can depend on the asset, network and the support offered by funding providers.
The app is designed for people who want a clearer way to manage digital assets without giving up the final decision. It does not remove the need to verify addresses, amounts or networks. Instead, it makes those details part of an explicit review step before execution is requested.
Approval is separate from signing and execution
Authentication, MFA, recovery, signing and execution depend on the wallet path, device and the methods configured for the user's Privy environment. A confirmation screen shows the user's decision in the product flow; it does not prove that every action is signed only on the device or always gated by a passkey.
Cryptoassets are volatile, and on-chain transactions are generally irreversible. Review every proposal and independently verify unfamiliar recipients before approving it.

Do I need to write down a seed phrase?
The default embedded-wallet flow is designed so users do not handle a seed phrase. Authentication and recovery depend on the device and the methods configured for the user's Privy environment; a passkey is not automatically the wallet's private key.
